Welcome Sr. Hoda Sayed - MCGP School Principal
We would like to give a warm welcome to our new school principal, Sr. Hoda Sayed. We look forward to enhacing our curriculm and taking our school to the next level under the guidance of Sr. Hoda this year. She has shared the following welcome letter to the community.
Dear Parents,
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatu Allah Wa Barakatoh
Alhamdulillah! We are eagerly waiting to start another new journey with so many added promising goals to achieve together while doing everything we can to help our new Muslim generation to be proud of their Identity and to enable them to taste the beauty of Islam.
My name is Hoda Sayed and I am so honored to join the awesome successful team of MCGP in 2019 as the school Principal. I joined last year as a teacher and truly wanted to make a difference to benefit this community. AlhamdulelAllah! I have been teaching Qur`an, Arabic and Islamic studies since 2007, I have taught in NUI, Dar-ul Arqam, Al-Minhaal Academy, Pillars and ISCJ weekend school. AlhamdulelAllah! I have an Ijazah in the forty Nawawi Ahadith and I am studying Fiqh. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry & Biochemistry and have international and local experience working in the medical and science industries. Yet, my passion is to use my science background to teach my students miracles in Qur`an and the beauty of the language of the Qur`an. I want to give them all the tools to develop new techniques in learning to make it enjoyable in shaa Allah!
I know that every year, we all as parents are looking forward to meet the new teachers, to see the curriculum, to ask questions and to make sure our kids will really maximize the time they spend in the weekend school. Today;s world is different than when we grew up and it is more challenging than ever before. We have taken that into strong consideration when making our curriculum so we can enrich learning from all aspects of the deen. Quran and Arabic studies will be merged this year to ensure kids are learning lessons from the book of wisdom and focusing attention to the virtue of applying these Quranic messages in life without forgetting the memorization, the correct recitation and tajweed. The Islamic studies curriculum includes Aqeeda, Seerah, Adab, Hadith,…and much more.
AlhamdulelAllah! We are already prepared with all the love and support from our community, a very rich and nourishing curriculum for all grades and we will need your cooperation to make it more successful. There is no doubt that when parents work with the teachers, the students are winners. I look forward to joining the team and please come and see me anytime.
